As a proud Mesa councilman and mayoral candidate, I am thrilled to spotlight the M.E.S.A. Program, a transformative initiative designed to empower our youth and foster positive relationships with the police. Here's a brief overview of the incredible services offered:
RadKids National Safety Education Program: Catering to youth aged 6-12, this program replaces fear with knowledge, skill, and power, enhancing their critical thinking abilities for today's world.
Youth Leadership Academy: Open to high school students in grades 10-12, this two-week summer program offers both hands-on and classroom experiences. From rappelling down a 7-story tower to delivering public presentations, it challenges our youth in diverse ways.
Teen Court: For those aged 14-18, this program provides a firsthand experience of the judicial system. It promotes restorative justice, allowing the community, victim, and offender to collaboratively address harm and assign constructive consequences.
Police Activities League: Open to kids aged 5-18, this initiative promotes self-esteem, academic improvement, and socialization through fitness.
Our youth are the future of Mesa. Let's invest in their growth and success. For more details, visit: https://www.mesaazpolice.gov/community/m-e-s-a-program
