The G.A.I.N. Initiative in Mesa: Embracing Community Strength

As a proud councilman, I've always believed in the power of community. This weekend, we have a golden opportunity to showcase this spirit through the G.A.I.N. initiative in Mesa. For those unfamiliar, G.A.I.N. stands for "Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods." It's an annual celebration that started in 1998, emphasizing crime prevention through community involvement.

This year, on November 4th, from 3 PM to 7 PM, our neighborhoods will come alive with the spirit of unity. I urge everyone to turn on their porch lights, step outside, and connect with neighbors. Whether you live in an apartment complex, a mobile home community, or a residential area, this event is for you. It's more than just an evening; it's a movement towards a safer Mesa.

Why is G.A.I.N. so crucial? Because safety is a collaborative effort. The event serves as a reminder that by knowing our neighbors and fostering positive relationships, we can create a robust defense against crime.

I'm excited to see the G.A.I.N. initiative in Mesa light up our community spirit next week. Let's come together, stand united against crime, and make our city even safer!
